Been there, done that

Article Abstract:

The memories of the arguments during the merger of two human resource organizations, the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM) and a member of the Institute of Training and Development (ITD) into a single entity, the Institute of Personnel and Development (IPD), come alive in the wake of proposed merger of ICAEW and CIPFA. But even after various negatives and fears associated with the merger, it finally proved to be beneficial in terms of increased membership and integration reflecting the happenings of wider world.

Been there, done that

Article Abstract:

The merger of two human resource organizations, the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM) and a member of the Institute of Training and Development (ITD) into a single entity, the Institute of Personnel and Development (IPD), was a difficult process. This is causing some concerns as ICAEW and CIPFA propose to merge soon. Despite these concerns, the proposed merger will probably prove to be beneficial in terms of increased membership and better integration.

Marrying values

Article Abstract:

The merger of accounting organizations ICAEW and CIPFA would mean bringing together the values of public services with the efficiencies and value-for-money criteria of the private sector. As the government is increasingly relying on private sector advisors, an institute spanning both the private and public sectors will be in a strong position to ensure the adoption of the best practices between both sectors.
