Bemrose takes the direct approach

Article Abstract:

Bemrose supplies promotional products and has acquired Nelson Marketing and Letts. The company has developed a strong position in both the US and the UK. Charles Letts is established as a brand which will help Bemrose as a whole. Bemrose's direct marketing business has growth potential from both organic growth and acquisitions. Nelson has low overheads due to selling through a catalog rather than through a sales force. Bemrose' profit is forecast at 25 million pounds sterling for 1997.

Bemrose: a special offer

Article Abstract:

Bemrose is a UK company which supplies calendars and carries out security printing. The company has been hit by a rise in the cost of paper but has still achieved good growth levels. Bemrose has grown due to acquisitions and has strength in the markets for promotional products in both the US and the UK. The company acquired Lockwood in the UK in 1995 and relocation of production should lead to efficiency improvements. The company's shares are recommended for investors in Oct 1995.

Bemrose

Article Abstract:

Bemrose has seen solid growth though the company's share price has not reflected this. Charles Letts reported a loss for 1st half 1996, and will need some time to reach its potential. Broadway Incentives, which supplies promotional products, has been awarded a contract renewal for three years by British Airways. Nelson, acquired in Dec 1995 and marketing promotional goods in the US, is performing well. Bemrose should achieve a profit of 23 million pounds sterling for 1996.
