Boeing doesn't eclipse army oversight of FCS: General

Article Abstract:

Future Combat Systems (FCS) development and acquisition program involves the Army in every act of it and the military force is having enough control over the program to the Boeing Company. Boeing and Science Applications International Corp. are those systems, which manage the FCS by supplying hardware, and by choosing which defense contractors would build the components that would fit into FCS.

New procurement guidelines might favor lower-cost systems

Article Abstract:

The latest defense Capabilities Review (DCR) a new means of deciding what defense-industry products provides the best capability to the military and favors cheaper systems. According to the briefers, the new system is more responsive to the needs of the combatant commanders as their input would be included much earlier in the development process.

V-22 Osprey glitch fixed, critics unconvinced

Article Abstract:

A correction is devised by software engineers to prevent the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor from entering uncontrolled yawing. However critics view the tilt-rotor as fatally flawed due to its earlier crashes.
