Bruno Munari

Article Abstract:

Designer, artist and poet Bruno Munari gained a particular reputation for being attracted to subversion and playfulness. He used playfulness to cross the strict borders of art and design. His most significant work was produced in the 1950s, when he linked with Danese founders Bruno Danese and Jacqueline Vodoz. Designs from this period include the 1959 Travel Sculpture and the Cubico ashtray. He undertook many useful experiments in art and design, but worked to ensure that art was the experience of all.

Spaghetti science

Article Abstract:

The innovative design of pasta makes it extremely appealing to consumers. Food manufacturers have produced derivative variations of pasta to differentiate one brand from the other in terms of qualities and characteristics. Thus, pastas come in different shapes, sizes and even sauces. Pasta makers, however, have not been quite successful in introducing new shapes since consumers apparently view them as a radical departure from tradition.
