Broaden Your Horizons with AFAA

Article Abstract:

The Air Force Audit Agency (AFAA) has just surveyed some twenty former auditors as to their outlook on audit value as a career expansion device. An overwhelming majority believed the AFAA was an excellent career expansion approach. There was concurrence as to the understanding gains as to interrelationships of different levels of activities. Discipline gains through stints at AFAA were regarded positively. A majority of respondents believed a career expanding audit assignment should be initiated before the eighth year of service, to obtain maximum benefits for the auditor, and the AFAA. Personnel in the comptroller, logistics, procurement, and data automation career areas can benefit from audit experience, which also is beneficial to those who desire upper management positions in the Comptroller's office.
