Business process reengineering and the commodification of managerial knowledge

The growing importance of business process reengineering as a management tool is widely acknowledged to have led to an increasing commodification of management knowledge. An exploration of how business process reengineering is used by managers is presented and its impact on organizational work processes is discussed.
