CICA's pre-budget message: secure the future

Article Abstract:

The impact of the events of 11th September on the federal government's immediate agenda are discussed. It is proposed that government should sharpen its focus on ensuring security and well-being of its citizens. The CICA also urged the government to work towards lowering the debt to GDP ratio, and look properly at its fundamentals while submitting its annual federal budget to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance.

The CICA Assurance Standards Board (ASB) has approved the 7100 projects in July 1997. The overlapping of the project with a number of other practice areas and related handbook standards are discussed.
