Environmental protection has strong support from the US public and there is little disagreement over basic environmental goals. The focus of environmental debate is now concerned with the best means of accomplishing environmental protection, and the desirable balance between environmental protection and economic growth. Environmental policy in the US is not made by the government, but determined through compromise and discussion on the part of business people and private individuals.

Article Abstract:

Captive insurance programs are growing in the middle market. Captives offer risk management services for companies that cannot afford to hire a risk manager. Association captives, which consist of companies from the same industry, are providing coverage for worker's compensation, automobiles, and liabilities. Fronting services for captives are available. Agent captives, which consist of companies for different industries, are causing controversy.
