Carafano would place anti-terror bets on 6 technologies

James Jay Carafano of Heritage, the Washington think tank believes that Current technological solutions to transnational terrorism are not adequate. He stresses on the importance of staying ahead of the terrorists by developing 'overmatching' security systems and recommends six technologies based on three criteria that could be considered by the US government.

Security applications driving strong growth in Biometrics

Annual growth of 40% to 50% is taking place in the Biometric Industry due to its adoption by the Department of Homeland Security. Biometrics consists of the use of technology to identify and read a person based on his fingerprints, voice or facial features.
