Try before you buy

Article Abstract:

Designers of investment software have to cater for a wider market as investment has become more common in Britain. Users want chart packages to allow easy access, a database update with a one-button download, and fundamental information combined with price data. Chart services are offered by the majority of market price services on the web, and there are some sophisticated offerings. There are anomalies in the market, but investors tend to get better quality the more they pay. Investors should try out software prior to making a decision on whether to buy it.

Charting: a course

Article Abstract:

Day traders perceive the market differently from Warren Buffet, but many investors are both interested in short term and long term investments. Programs combining fundamentals and charts cater for such investors with mixed needs, and may have become the most popular type of package sold to British investors. These packages can record transactions, analyze stock prices, and use fundamentals. Third parties can be used to supply data to update the packages, and this involves paying a fee each month.
