The Sun-Sentinel newspaper, which serves the area of Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton in Florida, offers trainings for improving the marketing expertise of its sales personnel. The newspaper offers such classes as selling skills, co-op advertising, co-op recovery software, advertising agency relations and sales presentation software. Other classes offered under the program include broadcast analysis software, capturing market share, oral presentation skills, startegic planning and territory revenue planning.

Power of the press awareness heightened in full-page ad

Article Abstract:

The Telegraph Herald newspaper in Dubuque, IA, printed a full-page ad to heighten the community's awareness of newspapers as well as the power of the press during National Newspaper Week. The campaign, which was used to promote the importance of newspapers to students, also acknowledged the historical role played by the Goodhue press in the local community. The press printed the community's first newspaper, the Dubuque Visitor, on May 11, 1836.
