Enzyme manufacturer Novozymes (Bagsvaerd, Denmark)

Article Abstract:

Novozymes' first-half 2001 sales rose 6% to Danish krone 2,508 million, led by sales of feed enzymes, which rose 52% to Danish krone 200 million versus same-period 2000. The growth was mainly thanks to the extension of the European Union's ban on meat and bonemeal that forces farmers to seek alternative sources of phosphate for animal feed. Article briefly notes Novozymes' outlook for the rest of the year, and some future projects.
