Comments on 'Transaction Costs and Networks.'

Article Abstract:

Keith J. Blois' research indicated that using transaction costs to analyze industrial networks may not have been justified, but no alternative methods were suggested. Two factors contribute to the existence of networks: the lowering of transaction costs and the efficiency of conducting activities in separate entities. Using transaction costs to analyze networks provides useful information about networks, which have not received much theoretical consideration.
