Conducting a readiness assessment: a foundation for solid teamwork

Article Abstract:

A readiness assessment is crucial for the success of work teams within organizations since it determines the appropriateness of such teams in helping organizations improve their competitive position by supporting their business strategy. The dimensions of readiness assessment include technology, management style and core competency. Some of the data collection methods that can be used in a readiness assessment are focus groups, document review and surveys. The collected data can be organized into five categories including key quotes and variables that support teams.

Improving productivity and profitability round the clock

Article Abstract:

Effective management system plays a key role in the success of carrying out multishift operations. The so-called 5Cs of high performance shift operations, which include communication, continuity, consistency, coordination and commitment, need to be focused on. Moreover, it requires a coordinated and efficient team system for the improvement of the whole process. It is also essential to adopt a goal alignment system and shift support system that will ensure communication of progress and employee understanding.

Elements of recognition include trust support, completion, acknowledgement, and communication and agreement. The team appoach is recommended. Procedures for building and operating a work team are detailed. Measurement criteria and goals are included in the organizational structure of the team.
