Cultivating your clients

Article Abstract:

Accountants in the UK who introduce their clients to the benefits of invoice finance are likely to end up with a portfolio of successful, growing companies, all wanting a wider range of services from their business advisers. Some clients might still think of the approach as the finance of last resort, state accountants, but for the majority of small- and medium-sized enterprises, factoring and invoice discounting it is still very important.

Ireland considers move against unqualifieds

Article Abstract:

The Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority (IAASA) are consulting various professional bodies and public to confirm whether the term 'accountant' should be given legal protection. It would compare the findings and forward its recommendations to the Irish Minister for trade and commerce to consider giving legal recognition to accountants as qualified professionals.
