Dan Wagner, knight raider

Article Abstract:

MAID's reverse takeover of Knight-Ridder Information allows MAID's InfoSort to be used for Knight-Ridder's Dialog. MAID had sought to achieve the status of industry standard for InfoSort, and the link with Dialog, a major on-line database, means this goal is more likely to be achieved. Dialog was difficult for non-specialists to access, so the link with MAID means that Dialog becomes more user friendly. The end-user market for business information is growing. The new company to be created from the acquisition will be called The Dialog Corp.
