Defense bill to fund unique detection tech, firm says

Article Abstract:

California based company HiEnergy Technologies Inc. announced the defense authorization measure signed by the President of United States George W. Bush in August 2004, including a provision of $1 million to fund the stoichiometric explosive detection technology. The funding is done by the Army's Night Vision & Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) and HiTechnologies Inc. is only a contractor engaged with the directorate to develop a landmine detector prototype using stoichiometric technology.

Buffalo researcher creating tech for all-electric ship

Article Abstract:

Cemal Basaran, director of the Electronic Packaging Laboratory in the university's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and other researchers working on the project for Navy are designing system architecture for an all-electric ship. It is an all-electric warship's integrated electrical power consumption presently occurring in iraditional Navy ships.

IED defense system part of firm's new Centigon banner

Article Abstract:

Armor Holding Inc. announced its IE-Defense system and renamed its Mobile Security Division as Centigon in an event held in Washington. The IE-Defense armor system is intended to be used as a new defense against improvised explosive devices and was used by insurgents in Iraq.
