Denbury Resources Inc. - DENRF

The price of Denbury Resources Inc.'s stocks has gone down from the Jan. 1997 level of $15 per share. Four executives have taken advantage of this plunge and acquired a total of 41,770 shares ranging from $12.02 to $13.50 per share from Feb. 27 to Mar. 24, 1997. Director Ronald Greene accumulated 34,770 shares while Director William Price bought 3,000 shares in their first open-market buy. Meanwhile, Officer of Subsidiary Matthew Deso and Director William Stanton purchased 2,000 shares each.

Corporate insiders in Phoenix Resource Cos. Inc. and Tyson Foods Inc. display confidence in their companies' securities by purchasing heavily and keeping them. Phoenix Dir. Galal Doss and Chmn. Joseph Pardo both exercised 4,000 option shares and refused to sell them. Phoenix operates oil and gas exploration, sales and production in Egypt. Meanwhile, six Tyson Foods insiders are risking tax liability for 98,750 class A shares hoping that the price of stocks will increase.

The price of Wrigley Company's shares of stocks are expected to rise with the current increase in insider purchases. Director Lee Philip bought 10,000 shares while Vice Pres. Stefan Pfander purchased 2,950 shares. Both volumes of shares were acquired at $50.50-$51 between May 9-16, 1996. Shares have dipped from $60.25 in Mar. 1996 to $50 in Jun. 1996 but analysts remained optimistic about shares of food processing firms with strong product lines.
