EADS Helo orders strong in 2005

The world's no.1 helicopter manufacturer awardee for the year 2005, Eurocopter, which is the subsidiary of the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS), has orders going strong and expects a strong growth in sales for the year 2006. The success of the company is owed to its stringent quality control and reliable service network and customer orientation and the company by way of orders has demonstrated their popularity around the world in terms of product lines and the market it serves.

MUOS competition pits incumbent against newcomer

Article Abstract:

Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, the two bidding companies, are looking forward to see which company the Navy would favor with a huge contract for the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), a battlefield communication system. The Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) has asked the two companies to submit additional information in order to address their capabilities and architectures to attain MUOS initial operational capability.

Bell claims V-22 Osprey edge in PRV bid

Article Abstract:

The Bell Helicopter Textron-Boeing Co. joint venture claims its personnel recovery vehicle (PRV) in the competition to build a new PRV for the Air Force. The V-22 Osprey will be used as the basis of their bid on PRV by Bell Helicopter and Boeing, which is their jointly produced helicopter-airplane.
