Effects of upper respiratory tract illnesses in a working population

Article Abstract:

The impact of upper respiratory tract illnesses on efficiency at work, using the 'after-effect' technique where measurements are taken before and after work and an indication of efficiency over the day given by their difference, was studied. The results showed that well-being at work and performance may be impaired by upper respiratory illnesses.

Culture differences in design of portal sites

Article Abstract:

An experimental analysis is carried out to examine the effects of cultural differences between the Chinese and the US people on the perceived usability and search performance of World Wide Web portal sites. The findings provided more detailed insights into he cultural differences between the Chinese and the US users.

Gender differences in prevalence of upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders

Article Abstract:

The illustrative evidence shows that women experience upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders (UEMSD) more often than men. The real gender differences in UEMSD risk are attributed to biological, psychological and cultural job factors.
