Financial Management

Article Abstract:

Chartered accountants (CAs) facing problems with information gathering and accounting networks can seek the help of the Financial Management (FM) interest group. Operating under the approval of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, the main task of the FM is to assist CAs in obtaining management information from fellow accountants. Accountants who share the same business situation with fellow CAs but are unable to share any information due to a number of factors can solicit the aid of this particular interest group.

Investigative and Forensic Accounting

Article Abstract:

Chartered accountants (CAs) can avail of the services of the Investigative and Forensic (I&F) interest group on issues involving investigative auditing, trial testimonies, or financial dispute valuations. CAs active in the field of I&F accounting have to familiarize themselves with the legal system and its application on the business and economic environment. An I&F interest group can assist in information exchanges among interested CAs as I&F accounting becomes an integral part of business firms.
