Estimation of price elasticities from cross-sectional data

Article Abstract:

An empirical framework that can be used to estimate price elasticities in cross-sectional demand analysis, which are consistent and are statistically unbiased and efficient, is developed. The results show that ignoring quality adjustment in either prices or quantities can cause biased demand analysis.

Economic evaluation of shelf-space management in grocery stores

Article Abstract:

A study aimed to note the effect of the change in advertising strategy focusing on dairy products relevant to shelf-space organization in stores in New York. Results reveal that location of the products at eye level scored over other positions on the shelf.
