Tales from the company doctor's casebook

Article Abstract:

Postern is a UK company which has raised money for its Postern fund to carry out company rescues. Postern selects companies carefully and ensures it is in control of the management. This has helped it achieve a good track record in company rescues. The fund is considering five possible company rescues. The fund is of a type called a vulture fund in the US since it seeks companies with problems. Some companies cannot be rescued easily such as those with one product which are well-managed.
