French and Danish firms will build shopping centres in the Czech Republic too

Article Abstract:

TK Development (Denmark), developer firm, has arranged an agreement worth EUR 162 mil, CEK 5.6 bil, with the real estate company Klepierre (France). The contracting sides will build seven purchasing centres in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia together. Klepierre bought more than 150 shopping centres of the retail chain Carrefour (France) in France, Spain, Greece and the Czech Republic for EUR 1.5 bil in 2000. TK Development participated in the construction of the shopping centre Futurum in Hradec Kralove, the Czech Republic, which includes the hypermarket Carrefour and a shopping gallery with about 60 shops among others. A multi-cinema should be built in the shopping centre in 2001.

CKD Trakce profits from film production

Article Abstract:

CKD Trakce (Prague, Czech Republic), electric motor manufacturer, saw a loss of CEK 85 mil in 2000. The firm has generated a profit of CEK 22 mil since the beginning of 2001. The premises of CKD Trakce are in demand for the reason of foreign and Czech film production. The premises were utilized for the production of the French film Miserables, the US firm Fog above Avalon, the Czech film Navy Blue World and the film Anna Frank. The firm is a part of the holding company CKD Praha Holding (Czech Republic), which holds a 66% stake in CKD Trakce.

Firms divide shares in Sen-tchou

Article Abstract:

Skodaexport (Prague, Czech Republic), export firm, and China Electric Power Technology Import and Export Corporation (China), have arranged a contract. On the grounds of the contract, a Czech-Slovak consortium will build a USD 268.5 mil thermal power station in Shen-tchou, China. The members of the consortium, Skodaexport (Czech Republic), Skoda Praha (Czech Republic), Skoda Energo and SES Tlmace (Slovakia), have agreed about their price shares.
