Getting out of the box

Article Abstract:

Auditing and accounting services are losing their relevance as many companies are becoming more reliant on knowledge-based assets for their financial needs. However, they can still generate revenues by tapping into new services such as systems integrity, database effectiveness and non-financial performance assessments. To effectively tap into these new markets, auditing and accounting services need to overcome the aversion to increased liability risk.

Article Abstract:

Accounting firms can address the estate planning needs of clients who own and manage their own business using a template of the types of information the should be included in estate plan binders. These include a section containing a list of the client's advisers and their contact information, succession memo, organization chart of the business and a section on wills, trusts and powers of attorney.
