Article Abstract:

The Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS) has reported Andrew Regan, who has made a bid for the company, to the Serious Fraud Office (SFO). The CWS is seeking an investigation in to payments made by a company which Regan previously ran, called Hobson to the CWS. Hobson paid over 5 million pounds sterling, 2.8 million pounds of which was received by the CWS. One of Regan's key advisers is Hambros Bank which will rethink its position if an investigation is carried out by the SFO.
