The company will be affected by the financial problems of Mexico, since this is a major market.

Grand Metropolitan is a UK food and drinks group which has faced restructuring charges that make the company's results for 1994 to 1995 appear favorable. Without exceptional items, however, profit was down by more than 3% to 192 million pounds sterling. Sales are declining in more mature markets and this means that advertising expenditure has risen. Burger King is performing well in the US but is doing less well in Europe.
