Honeywell, Inc

Article Abstract:

Honeywell Inc (HON), automation and control systems supplier, has sued six camera manufacturers and hopes to sue nine firms as well for using its autofocus technology without authorization. Asahi, Ricoh, Canon, Olympus, Kodak and Nikon have already expressed interests in negotiating with HON while Minolta has consented to pay $127.5 million. Analyst Elliott Rogers, in the meantime, expects HON's stock to appreciate from $4.70 to $5.25 per share in 1992. HON's stock has appreciated by 25% since Aug 1991.

CyCare Systems Inc

CyCare Systems Inc is satisfied with its $21 million restructuring effort designed to gain considerable increases in its earnings. Feibusch and Company sole owner Robert Feibusch, who increased his shareholdings to 374,000 by purchasing 264,000 shares for $1.66 million, believes that the improved earnings goal can be achieved faster. In a strategy developed to cut costs and increase recurring revenues, CyCare tries to recover from a March qtr drop in profits from 8 cents a share to 6 cents a share.

Anacomp, Inc

Microfilm manufacturer Anacomp Inc (AAC) formed a 10-year distribution contract with SKC Ltd and SKC America Inc. The alliance will enable AAC to expand in three continents and to cut down its operating expenses by $30 million until 1994. AAC registered an increase in earnings during FY 1991 which was followed by a decline in revenues during the 1st qtr of 1992. The financial sector foresees an increase over 42 cents per share in the 4th qtr ending Sep 1992 over the same period in 1991.
