Design distinction

Article Abstract:

Several interactive media entries in the form of CD-ROMs and web sites have been selected as winners to the 'Design Distinction' category. Among the CD-ROMs selected were the Artintact 3: Artist's Interactive, Booth-Clibborn Spin, 100 Masterpieces, FDR, and Leonardo Da Vinci CD-ROM. For the web site entries, The Spleen, Gurl Web Site, Bosnia: Uncertain Paths to Peace, Meta Advent Calendar Web Site and the Netwits, among others were selected.

Discovery Store

Article Abstract:

A series of kiosks designed by R/GA Interactive for the Discovery Superstore in Washington DC have won the gold Interactive Media Design Review 1999 award. The series of landmark kiosks offer ease of use and are of great appeal to children. The kiosks offer users a two-minute experience including 'How to make a Pebble', 'Amateur Astronomy', and 'Dig your own T-Rex'.
