Hydrogen power showing wider military promise

Article Abstract:

Hydrogen, which is assumed to be the commercial energy for the future, is slowly starting to become the military energy of the present as various services experiment with hydrogen-based applications. An executive from Hydrogenics Corp., a company that is supplying such units in prototype form to military customers stated that those applications include back-up power units for vehicles that soldiers then could lift out and use at their base camps.

Boeing marks milestone on SBSS satellite project

Article Abstract:

Boeing Co.'s Space Based Surveillance (SBSS) system, an Air Force program, would bring about a quantum leap in the protection of US space assets from potentially threatening objects. The SBSS project milestone was reached with completion of the SBSS system's integrated baseline review, which would in turn help in developing a new tracking satellite called 'Pathfinder'.

Army likes wearing company's computers

Article Abstract:

Xybernaut Corp. has developed new wearable computers that provide the soldiers with computing power but keeps their hands free to use for other purposes. This technology has become very popular with the Department Of Defense (DOD) and has resulted in Xybernaut Corp. receiving at least five DOD contracts ranging from $600,000 to $1 million.
