Hypo stavebni sporitelna (Prague, Czech Republic), building society, saw a profit of CEK 43.8 mil in 2000 compared to CEK 40 mil in 1999. The company's balance sum rose to CEK 6.2 bil in 2000 compared to CEK 4 bil in 1999. Its client deposit volume was CEK 4.8 bil at the end of 2000, nearly CEK 2 bil more compared to 1999. The building society had 202,000 arranged contracts with a target sum of CEK 32.4 bil at the end of 2000. The company arranged another more than 10,000 contracts with a target sum of over CEK 1.5 bil for Jan-Feb/2001. Hypo is the smallest building society on the Czech market.

CS's profit grows significantly

Ceska sporitelna (CS) (Prague, Czech Republic), bank, generated a net profit of CEK 877 mil in 1Q 2001, according to Czech accounting standards. The sum is more than double compared to 2000. CS's balance sum increased by 20% to CEK 462.7 bil in the period. As of 31 Mar 2001 the bank had primary deposits of CEK 334 bil, up 13% year-on-year. The credits it had granted to its clients by the date had amounted to CEK 110.9 bil, up 15% year-on-year.

CAC Leasing defends the first position

CAC Leasing (Prague, Czech Republic), leasing firm, saw a net profit of nearly CEK 100 mil in 2000 compared to CEK 89 mil in 1999. In 2000 the firm had a 16% share on the market and defended its first position. Its leasing volume reached CEK 13.695 bil in 2000 compared to CEK 11.871 bil in 1999.
