If the shoe fits

Article Abstract:

Hi-Tec Sports has made progress since the appointment of the finance director, Paul Harrison, to the post of chief executive. Financial controls have been strengthened and the shoe range has been reduced. Stocks are down and distribution is tighter, while supplier lead times have also been cut. The company's profits have risen in its key markets and its sports shoes are well placed in the cheaper segment of this market. The company's profit is forecast at 4 million pounds sterling for 1997 to 1998 by Greig Middleton.
