Article Abstract:

VHE is involved in land reclamation and has been involved in a legal dispute which has affected the company's results. The company has carried out work on major industrial sites, and is involved in civil engineering work such as constructing roads. The contract dispute could be solved in late 1998. VHE increased its turnover and profitability in 1997, and net debt fell to some 1.4 million pounds sterling. The company's profit is forecast at 3 million pounds sterling for 1998 to 1999 by Charterhouse Tilney, including costs relating to the dispute, and excluding benefits that could accrue.

Keller: bucking the trend

Article Abstract:

Keller is a UK specialist contractor which has seen a drop in its share price since 1994 when the company was floated. Keller focuses on ground engineering such as stabilization and foundations. The company has been awarded a number of foreign contracts with some half sales coming from Austria and Germany. The company has also been awarded contracts in Hungary and Portgual. Sales are improving in the US and the company looks set to expand. Keller's long-term prospects are good despite problems in the construction industry.
