In silico pharmacogenetics of warfarin metabolism

Article Abstract:

The murine haplotype-based computational method is used to identify a genetic factor regulating the metabolism of warfarin, an anticoagulant with a narrow therapeutic index and a large variation in individual dosing. The analysis has shown that genetic variants responsible for interindividual pharmacokinetic differences in drug metabolism can be detected by computational genetic analysis in mice.
