Investment in the Philippines traditionally has been focused on the main island of Luzon, but the high growth of the Philippine economy has raised the economic fortunes of the provinces, with the result that they are attracting more investment. Promises provincial sites for investment are those in Mindano in the southern Philippines, whose main city Davao is booming.
