Article Abstract:

Flashpoint sold AAA rated bonds through Credit Suisse First Boston to investors on movies backed by insurance policies from HIH Casualty and General Insurance. When Standard and Poor's rated down the bonds to CCC-, the insurers and reinsurers of the bonds refused to pay bondholders claims for shortfalls on the movie investments and the London High Court, citing breach of warranties ruled in their favor.
