Into Africa

Article Abstract:

Africa has performed well compared to the average for emerging markets. South Africa, which represents nine tenths of capitalization of African markets, is benefiting from the ending of sanctions. There is a movement toward market economy policies in Africa. There are also risks, especially related to political stability in South Africa. GT Management has launched a specialist offshore fund focusing on Africa, but other funds such as Old Mutual South Africa may be a better choice.
