Water services in the United Kingdom represent 85% of Kelda's turnover, and the company aims to reduce this to 70% over two to three years. The company has acquired 46% of Waste Recycling Group, with which Kelda has merged some of its waste activities. Regulatory pressure and investor sentiment have tended to depress Kelda's stock price.
