Knowledge transfer: scattered sources to sceptical clients

Article Abstract:

Lack of communication between manufacturers and users is one of the common problems in knowledge transfer. Producers must be aware of the potential applications of their products as well as the manner these products will be used by future users. Information generation and dissemination must be enhanced to mitigate problems commonly encountered in knowledge transfer. As for technology transfer, a mediating entity must appropriatly distribute information about methods, equipments and ideas from the producer to the user.

Virtual environments and ergonomics: needs and opportunities

Article Abstract:

The role of ergonomics in the development of virtual reality and virtual environments (VE) is analyzed. A framework for the development of VE is also discussed.
