Kyocera Optics Inc of Somerset, NJ, has unveiled two new consumer digital cameras, namely the Kyocera Finecam S3 and the Kyocera EZ Digital. The Finecam S3 model features a high-resolution optical 38-76 mm equivalent zoom lens, optical zoom viewfinder and 1.5-inch LCD monitor. The EZ Digital model is a 1.3 camera that has a 1,280-by-960-pixel resolution sensor, fixed lenghth f/2.8 lens, optical viewfinder and 1.8-inch LCD monitor.

Contax N has a full-size 24-by-36 mm CCD sensor that permits full lens coverage of the frame and accepts Contax's 13 different Carl Zeiss T autofocus lense. Other features of the unit include a lrager than usual LCD monitor.
