Leaders see long production run for General Dynamics LCS

Article Abstract:

The US Navy is likely to buy at least 25 more Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) from General Dynamics Corp. (GD) and the first of this, called LCS 2 will be built by GD subcontractor Austal USA, a unit of Austal Ltd. of Australia. LCS may become the largest class of vessels in the Navy fleet and Delores Etter, assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisition, placed her initials in a section of the keel for the new GD version of the LCS hull, worth billions of dollars.

General Dynamics leader says firm isn't lagging in shipyards

Article Abstract:

General Dynamics leader claims that charges made by critics that General Dynamics Corp. is operating inefficient yards building Navy ships are untrue.
