Learning across the life cycle: experimentation and performance among the Hollywood studio heads

Article Abstract:

Research presented concerns organizational learning throughout the careers of top managers, focusing on Hollywood studio executives from 1936 to 1965. Findings suggest that product line experimentation increases at the beginning of careers, and decreases near the end.

Better late than never: a study of late entrants in household electrical equipment

Article Abstract:

Attempts were made to focus exclusively on the late movers, it was done to find out what factors could increase the chances of a firm's early market success. The results stated that the ability to penetrate the market is strongly linked to its own resources and its own strategies.
