Minilab moves

Article Abstract:

The Minilab Co is the only company in the UK offering services to people or firms who are looking for or selling their minilab businesses. The Bridgewater, Somerset, England-based firm, which is headed by David Evans, concentrates on franchising Kodak Express outlets, Photo Imaging Centers, FujiFilm Image Service outlets and minilabs of other independents. Meanwhile, Evans has established another company, named Count-A-Clock Ltd, which offers Gretag processing equipment to professional studios on a pay- as-you-process basis.

Photobision is in the process of fulfilling its vision of dominating the $50-billion graphic display products and services market. The company, as of Apr 2000, already has control of over $180 million of the $20-billion US market. Photobision, under the leadership of Chmn and CEO Eddie Marchbanks, achieved its phenomenal growth through the purchase of such firms as Berry and Homer Inc, Phoenix, AZ-based Image Craft Ltd as well as three business units from Applied Graphics Technologies.

Lifepics offers minilab owners a means to upload pictures

Article Abstract:

Lifepics is planning to offer consumers the option to have their photos uploaded to a co-branded site when they have their film processed at a local retailer. As it prepares to launch its service, Lifepics has moved to its own offices and has become financially independent of Mike's Camera which was founded by brothers Vahe Christianian, Jirair Christianian and Alex Christianian who founded Lifepics.
