Low-cost carriers buck aviation woes

National airlines may be suffering badly in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks on the US, but the UK's low-cost airlines are holding up well. Ryanair and easyJet have launched strong advertising campaigns and reduced prices, and hope to step into the slots left vacant by national carriers.
