Marketing campaign backs "Scooby-Doo."

Warner Bros. will launch "Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island" through a partnership with Wendy's Restaurants, 1-800-COLLECT and Franco-American. Scooby-Doo will be featured in Wendy's On Zombie Island-themed Kids Meals, offered with Scooby-Doo premiums and a coupon for savings on the video. Scooby-Doo will also be included in 1-800-COLLECT's video promotion that will give $9.00-worth of collect calls for On Zombie post card. Franco-American SpaghettiOs is featuring Scooby-Doo videos as first prizes in an instant-win game promotion.

WHV's displays Scooby-Doo line-up

Warner Home Video has introduced 'Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School' as part of the first family event of the company's massive new catalog effort for 2001. Warner Spotlight posters that feature five Scooby-Doo videos will be be available to support the year-long initiative. To help build customer awareness, custom mixed merchandisers in 24, 36, 48 and 60-unit configurations will also be available. The Warner Spotlight VHS program will include more well-known partners than ever before.

Disney displays support "Simba's Pride"

Article Abstract:

Walt Disney Studios employed a theatrical-style marketing campaign to launch its video movie 'The Lion King: Simba's Pride' at mass outlets nationwide. The campaign included television, print, radio and direct mail advertising to reach 95% of American mothers 12 times and 95% of American children eight times. In-store merchandising support included standees, posters, shelf talkers, buttons and 'Paw Print' static clings for video stores, supermarkets and other mass merchandisers.
