Marriages made in heaven?

Article Abstract:

Business angels differ from other types of investors because they become actively involved in the financial and management rehabilitation of the firms they invest in, typically small, entrepreneur-driven companies. They can be classified into two categories: income-seeking angels and corporate angels. The former are individuals who invest to generate income or create employment for themselves. The latter are companies whose investments tend to be considerably larger than those of individual angels. Angel investment appears to entail few difficulties since the negotiation process between investors and managements are generally straightforward and the relationship between the two groups tend to be cordial. Business angels contribute significantly to the growth of the UK economy. Their investments to date in small and medium-size businesses are estimated to exceed two billion pounds sterling.
