Media study finds more bias in news reports on companies

Article Abstract:

News reports on companies are becoming more biased even as they have the ability to deliver the key corporate public relations message. According to the '1998 Delahaye Press Coverage Benchmark' report released by Delahaye Group, an increasing number of news reports either have a positive or a negative slant. Both positive and negative press reports increased in 1998 while neutral reports declined. There was also a significant increase in the number of news articles that communicated key or positive public relations messages about a firm.
