Robert Champion De Crespigny, a Chartered Accountant by profession turned Normandy Mining from a tiny concern he founded in 1985 with $2m in capital, into a gold mining colossus, which he sold to the U.S. based Newmont Mining company for $5.2bn in 2002. He feels working hard on clients help in gaining their business experience, which assists in achieving success.

The treasurer Kevin Grant of Lafarge, the company in North America, plans the control of the company's cash position thereby making sure that the company's liquidity is not in jeopardy. Every corporate treasury in North America is similarly looking for cost effective controls over its cash.
