The company has has an official stock listing since Mar 1997, and was previously in the Alternative Investment Market. The company's profit growth has not been as good as its turnover growth. Some IT recruiters have expanded abroad as a response to a weaker United Kingdom market, but Lorien has not done so. The company has to address the problem of cash generation and has to cut costs more than was initially realized.

Fayrewood's profit is forecast at 2.4 million pounds sterling for 1998 to 1999, rising to 3 million pounds for the following year.
