Mixing the right brew for San Miguel

Article Abstract:

San Miguel Corp. Chief Financial Officer Delfin Gonzalez, Jr. says the Philippine food and beverage company was hit hard by the economic downturn in the Philippines, which resulted in lower sales to the agricultural sector. Workers in the agricultural sector were hurt by inflation, which reduced the amount of income they could spend on food, particularly beer, an important San Miguel product. Gonzalez forecasts that the company is now recovering along with the Philippine economy in general.
